Bijvoorbeeld: bij een vijf seconden durende toon die na een pauze van drie seconden wordt herhaald, gaat het om een gasalarm. Als je dit hoort, moet je haaks op de windrichting in het dichtstbijzijnde gebouw bescherming zoeken. Pas als je in de test hebt aangetoond dat je de verschillende sirenes herkent, weet dat het industriepark een 30-zone is en dat railvoertuigen altijd voorrang hebben, mag je het terrein betreden.<\/p>\n<h3>Kilometers maken in veiligheidsschoenen<\/h3>\n<p>In een van deze chemiebedrijven bevinden zich zogenaamde &#8220;multi-inzetbare installaties&#8221;, indrukwekkende constructies van schijnbaar eindeloze buizen en leidingen die in een reactor uitmonden. &#8220;Sommige van deze pijpleidingen dateren nog uit 1950. Over het algemeen gaan ze ongeveer 30 tot 40 jaar mee. Het hangt af van de belasting en het gebruik&#8221;, legt operator Dirk uit. Hij loopt dagelijks in zijn veiligheidsschoenen tot wel tien kilometer op harde vloeren zonder demping. &#8220;Daarom is het erg belangrijk dat de schoenen comfortabel zijn en goed zitten&#8221;, zegt hij. Hiermee wordt de niet-aanwezige demping van de ondergrond als het ware opgevangen, zodat Dirk zelfs na een lange werkdag nog steeds veerkrachtig rondloopt. &#8220;Het verschil met niet-gedempte schoenen is duidelijk merkbaar. In mijn oude schoenen had ik altijd last van mijn achillespees. Daar merk ik in de Terence niets meer van.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Stevige grip op ladders en treden<\/h3>\n<p>Via een ladder beklimt Dirk de reactor, die is omgeven door een platform. In zijn hand heeft hij een momentsteutel ter grootte van een dijbeen. Hiermee opent hij het mangatdeksel van de reactor om te zien of de tank vervuild is. &#8220;Dergelijke ladders en trappen hebben we veel in het bedrijf&#8221;, weet veiligheidsdeskundige Matthias. Een belangrijke eigenschap van de veiligheidsschoenen die op het bedrijfsterrein gedragen worden is daarom een hakrand, zoals de &#8220;Terence&#8221;, maar ook de <a href=\"https:\/\/elten.com\/nl\/producten\/?_suche_nl=%22Reaction%20XXT%22\">&#8220;Reaction XXT&#8221;<\/a> en <a href=\"https:\/\/elten.com\/nl\/products\/renzo-biomex-gtx-boa-blue-mid-esd-s3-763461\/\">&#8220;Renzo Biomex GTX\u00ae Boa\u00ae&#8221;<\/a> hebben. Op de grote en kleine containers staan talrijke namen die voor leken koeterwaals zijn. Op pallets staan de IBC-containers met stalen frame en vaten in verschillende maten. Direct daarnaast, en onmiskenbaar, staat de ontsmettingsdouche, die wordt gebruikt voor situaties waar er meer nodig is dan alleen het vervangen van schoenen. &#8220;Gelukkig gebeurt dat niet vaak&#8221;, zegt Matthias.
