GORE-TEX MEMBRANE
WATERPROOF AND BREATHABLE
ALL-WEATHER MEMBRANE
Footwear with GORE-TEX Performance Comfort is particularly suitable for outdoor work in normal to cold temperatures due to its low insulation.
SUMMER MEMBRANE
Shoes with GORE-TEX Extended Comfort are not insulated – for better warmth compensation. They are particularly suitable for moderate and warmer temperatures and for extremely high activity levels.
WINTER MEMBRANE
Shoes with GORE-TEX Insulated Comfort are particularly suitable for use in rain, snow and cold. Thanks to maximum thermal insulation, the feet are kept in optimal climatic conditions, even at icy temperatures.

GORE-TEX SHOES FOR THE WORLD OF WORK
Only shoes that are comfortable for climatic conditions are really practical. As soon as our feet become too warm, too cold or even wet, we begin to feel uncomfortable. This can affect our health and ability to concentrate.
GORE-TEX shoes are durably waterproof and highly breathable. They keep your feet dry and offer optimum climatic comfort – in all weathers, throughout the entire product life cycle.
SHOES WITH GORE-TEX STRETCH TECHNOLOGY
GORE-TEX Stretch Technology prevents wrinkles forming in the instep area. This new patented construction combines elastic GORE-TEX laminates with elastic lining textiles using an elastic connecting seam. The smooth and elastic inner surface makes it easy to put on.
RIGOROUS TESTS CONFIRM QUALITY
Each shoe component (leather, textiles, laces, foams, threads) as well as the overall construction is continuously optimised to achieve highest functionality in the final application. Rigorous quality controls are carried out at all stages of development and production. GORE-TEX Footwear exceeds the requirements of the EN ISO 20345/20347 standard in terms of permanent waterproofness, breathability and durability.
SHOES WITH GORE-TEX CROSSTECH®
Did you know that first responders come into contact with blood and bodily fluids in over 50% of their missions? In contrast, fire incidents with heat and flames are significantly less common (only about 5-10%). Although there is a high risk of infection from viruses or pathogens, there is no norm within the EU that regulates protection. GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® laminate technology offers the solution:
- Reliable protection against viruses and pathogens
- Breathable and comfortable
- Permanently waterproof
SHOES WITH GORE-TEX EXTRAGUARD
EXTRAGUARD is an innovative upper material technology that combines the benefits of durable upper materials with those of lightweight, breathable textiles. EXTRAGUARD looks like leather but is approximately 40 percent lighter than leather, absorbs less moisture, and dries faster than comparable materials. Additionally, thanks to EXTRAGUARD, heat loss in wet conditions is significantly lower compared to leather shoes.
- Robust protection against a variety of external influences and wear
- Durably waterproof
- Approximately 40% lighter than leather
- Reduced heat loss
WEAR TEST RESULTS SWEAT
76% of the testers had sweated “not at all” or “only slightly” in the test boots.
WEAR TEST RESULTS WATERPROOFNESS
All testers confirmed that the test shoes are absolutely waterproof. This proved to be particularly useful for outdoor activities in snow, slush and ice as well as for work in the milk room or with the milk tank.
WEAR TEST RESULTS COMFORT
84% of the testers rated the comfort level of the test boots as “very good” or “rather good”.
WATERPROOFNESS OF SHOES WITH GORE-TEX
The main factors for the outstanding climatic comfort of shoes with GORE-TEX are their breathability and permanent waterproofness. Footwear with GORE-TEX must be able to withstand 300,000 bending movements (300 km/80 h) in ankle-high water – water penetration from outside is not permitted. This is far more than the EN ISO 20345/347 requires.
THE CENTRIFUGE TEST
In the centrifuge test, GORE-TEX footwear must withstand up to 240 rpm in a centrifuge without showing the slightest leakage. To do this, the shoes are filled with water and spun at high speed. Even under these enormous centrifugal forces, water must never be allowed to escape from the shoe at any time – only then is the test considered passed.
