CLEAN, SAFE AND COMFORTABLE

WORK SHOES FOR GASTRONOMY

In the catering industry, special requirements are placed on footwear. Two factors in particular are important here: hygiene and safety. Especially since in the kitchen, dangerous slips can occur quickly, which is why good stability and a non-slip outsole are important. At the same time, work shoes for catering must be fashionable and comfortable. Because in service, as in the kitchen, work is mainly done standing or walking. A soft and springy sole contributes to the comfort of wear, as it effectively relieves the joints, making it easier to walk even after several hours.

SELECTION OF PRODUCTS

NO TIRED FEET

WELLMAXX

In gastronomy in particular, employees are on their feet for several hours every day. They move around a lot on hard floors, stand for long periods of time, or work in a squatting position. For the feet, this means a heavy load. We prevent this problem with our WELLMAXX series! The innovative Infinergy® cushioning material in the sole core, from BASF, noticeably relieves the feet.

NON-SLIP THANKS TO SRC

COMPREHENSIVE SLIP RESISTANCE

If a safety shoe is SRC certified, it means that it has comprehensive slip resistance. An SRC certified safety shoe can be used on ceramic floors (tiles) where water and detergents are used as well as on steel floors where glycerine is used.

MORE SAFETY THANKS TO COLOURED MARKING

Coloured labels on the edge of the upper to mark shoes by area of use.

Simply cut off labels that are not needed so that only the colour markings required for the area remain.

A simple visual control aid that enables more safety and thus higher product quality.

ERGO-ACTIVE FIT CONCEPT

Besides the correct width, other factors contribute to achieving the right fit. In order to address typical problems regarding fit (too wide, too narrow, too short), we have developed the Ergo-Active 2.0 system. We distinguish between three different foot types:

  • Type 1 (for larger feet),
  • Type 2 (for average feet),
  • Type 3 (for narrower feet).

MULTIPLE WIDTH FIT CONCEPT

A lot is asked of the feet of those that work in gastronomy – and as such, shoes must fit perfectly. That is why we offer some of our models in three different widths:

  • W (For the average width foot)
  • XW (For the wider foot)
  • XXW (For the very wide foot)

The comfortable multi-width system provides each foot with the individual space it requires. Since the toe cap has also “grown” in width, the necessary volume in the forefoot area is maintained.

LADIES FIT CONCEPT

LADIES HAVE A NARROWER FIT

Women’s feet are different to men’s: they are narrower and flatter than those of men with the same shoe size. For this reason, we have special women’s models within our range, which offer appropriate solutions to meet the requirements of female foot anatomy.

ANTI-PERFORATION PROTECTION

In the safety classes S1P or S3, we offer models with a metal-free midsole as well as a steel midsole. Metal-free midsoles have the advantage of covering almost the entire surface of the sole, whereas metal midsoles cover only about 85% of the surface. The metal-free midsole is more flexible, while the metal penetration resists sharper objects. The point, sharpness, and shape of cutting objects play a less important role with metal than with the metal-free counterpart.

INSOLES

Semi-orthopaedic insoles close the gap between the foot profile and the flat bottom of the shoe, thus preventing pain and damage in the knee, foot, and hip area as a result of excessive load. They are light, dynamic, and pleasantly supportive. Feet and lower legs tire more slowly.

ORTHOPAEDIC FOOT PROTECTION

CERTIFIED ACCORDING TO EN ISO 20345/20347 (DGUV 112-191)

Many people develop foot problems during the course of their lives. Often it is not necessary to have these conditions treated orthopaedically. If your feet still hurt, our semi-orthopaedic insoles can help. If you develop an orthopaedic condition, special orthopaedic insoles are essential. A large proportion of the ELTEN collection is certified for orthopaedic adjustments in accordance with EN ISO 20345/20347 (DGUV 112-191). The orthopaedic shoemaker / medical supply store can make orthopaedic changes, without the shoe losing its protective function.
