EXCAVATORS, CRANES AND BULLDOZERS

THE JOB OF A CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT OPERATOR IS MULTIFACETED

When handling heavy machinery, personal safety and ensuring the safety of others take priority. Safety footwear and boots with safety class S3 offer protection that is also sufficiently flexible to operate an accelerator or brake pedal, as well as the safety required on a construction site. Cranes are capable of moving several thousand tonnes. Fatigue as a result of wearing the wrong footwear must therefore be avoided at all costs. Penetration protection and toe caps protect the feet in the forefoot area during the maintenance and upkeep of the machines. Wet feet when securing the construction site are a thing of the past with S3 safety footwear. Get to know more about which requirements safety shoes for construction equipment operators have to meet on this page.

PRODUCT SELECTION

WIND AND WEATHER

GORE-TEX

Only shoes that are comfortable for the respective temperature and conditions are really practical. As soon as our feet become too warm, too cold or even wet, we begin to feel uncomfortable. This can affect our health and ability to concentrate. GORE-TEX shoes are permanently waterproof and highly breathable. They keep your feet dry and offer optimum climatic comfort – in all weathers, throughout the entire product life cycle.

MEASURABLE SUCCESS

ANKLE TWIST PROTECTION STUDY AT SMURFIT KAPPA

ANKLE TWIST PROTECTION

INJURY PREVENTION

More than half of all foot injuries are sprains, dislocations or injuries to the ligaments. BIOMEX PROTECTION© stabilises the ankle in its natural movement and protects it against these hazards.

STEEL VS. SYNTHETIC TOE CAPE

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

Steel caps are stronger than caps made of other materials and are unbreakable – even under high loads. They have a slimmer appearance than synthetic caps, for example. synthetic toe caps are about one third lighter than steel caps and thus reduce the overall weight. They are particularly suitable for areas in which metal is not allowed. ELTEN always uses glass fibre for its metal-free caps.

NO TIRED FEET

WELLMAXX

Construction workers in particular are on their feet for several hours every day. They move around a lot on hard floors, stand for long periods of time, or work in a squatting position. For the feet, this means a heavy load. We prevent this problem with our WELLMAXX series! The innovative Infinergy® cushioning material in the sole core, from BASF, noticeably relieves the feet.

ANTI-WEAR

PROTECTIVE SCUFF CAP

Whether operating construction equipment or machinery in building construction, road construction or civil engineering – the demanding work performed by construction equipment operators places high demands on the front sections of safety shoes. For this reason, a scuff cap is recommended to permanently protect the toe of the shoe against abrasion.

WITH ONE TURN

BOA® FIT SYSTEM

The BOA® Fit System allows the safety shoes to be tightened and loosened quickly, safely, and comfortably – with just one hand! The lacing “stays put” all day long, thus ensuring a permanently precise fit. Other benefits include no loose laces hanging down and the fact that the BOA® Fit System is extremely durable – perfect for the harsh conditions of the construction industry.

ORTHOPAEDIC FOOT PROTECTION

CERTIFIED ACCORDING TO EN ISO 20345/20347 (DGUV 112-191)

Many people develop foot problems during the course of their lives. Often it is not necessary to have these conditions treated orthopaedically. If your feet still hurt, our semi-orthopaedic insoles can help. If you develop an orthopaedic condition, special orthopaedic insoles are essential. A large proportion of the ELTEN collection is certified for orthopaedic adjustments in accordance with EN ISO 20345/20347 (DGUV 112-191). The orthopaedic shoemaker / medical supply store can make orthopaedic changes, without the shoe losing its protective function.
