ROBUST AND TEAR-RESISTANT

SAFETY SHOES FOR CONSTRUCTION MUST BE ABLE TO ENDURE.

Due to its tear-resistance, the most common material in construction is and remains, leather. An additional scuff cap minimises wear in the front area of the shoe. As many professions in the construction industry are weather-dependent, water resistance plays a major role. Consequently, safety footwear with an S3 safety class rating or models with a GORE-TEX climate membrane are the right choice. In addition, it is advisable that you use coarse soles, especially on uneven ground such as clay and sand. In combination with the BIOMEX PROTECTION© ankle twist protection system, these provide the necessary support and stability.

SELECTION OF PRODUCTS

PENETRATION PROTECTION

In protection class S3, we offer models with both a metal-free and a steel midsole. Due to the high demands on penetration protection in the construction industry, we recommend the use of footwear with the more robust steel variant as opposed to the slightly more flexible metal-free midsole.

WIND AND WEATHER

GORE-TEX

Only climate-comfortable safety footwear is truly practical. As soon as our feet get too hot, too cold, or even wet, we start to feel uncomfortable. This can affect our health and the ability to concentrate. Safety footwear with GORE-TEX is durably waterproof and highly breathable. It keeps feet dry and provides optimum climate comfort – in all weather conditions, for the lifetime of the product.

NO TIRED FEET

WELLMAXX

Especially in the construction industry, workers are on their feet for many hours every day. They move around a lot on hard floors, stand for long periods of time or work in a crouched position. This puts a lot of strain on their feet. We prevent this problem with our WELLMAXX range! The innovative BASF Infinergy® cushioning material in the core of the sole noticeably relieves pressure on the feet.

A NOTE ABOUT SOCKS

The right safety shoes for construction always include the right socks! These must fit well and fit tightly around the foot, without constricting it.

It is also important to pay attention to the material of the socks: a skin-friendly and breathable textile material that always keeps the feet dry is recommended. Moreover, depending on the season and especially for outdoor activities, warm socks should be worn. For the best wearing comfort, we offer our Perfect Fit Socks, which are adapted to the right and left foot and thus guarantee an optimal fit.

ANKLE TWIST PROTECTION

INJURY PREVENTION

More than half of all foot injuries are sprains, dislocations or injuries to the ligaments. BIOMEX PROTECTION© stabilises the ankle in its natural movement and protects it against these hazards.

ERGO-ACTIVE FIT CONCEPT

Besides the correct width, other factors contribute to achieving the right fit. In order to address typical problems regarding fit (too wide, too narrow, too short), we have developed the Ergo-Active 2.0 system. We distinguish between three different foot types:

  • Type 1 (for larger feet),
  • Type 2 (for average feet),
  • Type 3 (for narrower feet).

MULTIPLE WIDTH FIT CONCEPT

The feet of craftsmen have to endure a lot – so their shoes have to fit perfectly. That is why we offer some of our models in three different widths:

  • W (For the average width foot)
  • XW (For the wider foot)
  • XXW (For the very wide foot)

The comfortable multi-width system provides each foot with the individual space it requires. Since the toe cap has also “grown” in width, the necessary volume in the forefoot area is maintained.

LADIES FIT CONCEPT

LADIES HAVE A NARROWER FIT

Women’s feet are different to men’s: they are narrower and flatter than those of men with the same shoe size. For this reason, we have special women’s models within our range, which offer appropriate solutions to meet the requirements of female foot anatomy.

PROTECTION AGAINST WEAR

PROTECTIVE SCUFF CAP

The toes of the safety shoes are often affected by premature wear under the rough working conditions on the construction site. During activities that are performed while kneeling or squatting in particular, the material in this area suffers a great deal. Therefore, we recommend a scuff cap, for permanent protection against the abrasion of the front area of the shoe.

WITH ONE TURN

BOA® FIT SYSTEM

The BOA® Fit System allows the safety shoes to be tightened and loosened quickly, safely, and comfortably – with just one hand! The lacing “stays put” all day long, thus ensuring a permanently precise fit. Other benefits include no loose laces hanging down and the fact that the BOA® Fit System is extremely durable – perfect for the harsh conditions of the construction industry.
