LIKE A SAFETY BELT FOR YOUR FEET!
ELTEN offers safety shoes with BETTERGUARDS® foot protection, an innovative technology that protects the ankle like a safety belt. The BG-Power, a multi-patented mini-piston, is concealed in the side of the shoes upper and is activated when the foot bends outwards.
The BETTERGUARDS® foot protection reacts to critical movements and stabilises the ankle within a few milliseconds. As soon as the critical movement is over, the system releases automatically and is immediately ready for use again.
HOW IT‘S DONE
1. STEPPING INTO THE SHOE
Open the laces and hook-and-loop fastener, then step into the shoe, and close the Speedlace.
If the Speedlace is too long, it can be adjusted. The knot at the bottom of the plastic part can be cut and retied.
Tipp: Pull the strap as far as possible through the ladder buckle to make stepping into the shoe easier.
2. POSITIONING THE BETTERGUARDS® SYSTEM
By touch, locate the integrated BETTERGUARDS® System on the outside and place the element above your ankle bone.
Ensure that the hard parts of the adapter are positioned above the ankle.
3. TIGHTEN THE STRAP
Keep the BETTERGUARDS® System in place and pull the strap forward until it sits tightly over the instep.
Make sure the strap is snug over the instep, and no finger can fit underneath!
4. SECURE THE STRAP
Fasten the strap on the outside of the foot using the hook-and-loop fastener while keeping the strap taut.
Ensure that the BETTERGUARDS® System stays in place when closing.
Tipp: The ankle should be securely enclosed without applying too much or causing painful pressure.
