Of course, the shoes are first and foremost foot protection. They must be slip-resistant and protect the toes with a cap against heavy objects falling down or tipping over. In case of danger from sharp or pointed objects on the ground, a penetration-resistance is necessary. In electrically sensitive areas, ESD-compliant equipment should not be missing, as it protects sensitive electronic components from sudden electrostatic discharges with high voltage.
