REFURBISHING, RENOVATING, SETTING IN CONCRETE
THE WORK OF A BRICKLAYER IS VARIED
Craftsmanship and good physical fitness are the basic requirements for any bricklayer. In this traditional craft, good foot protection is essential. S3 safety footwear is the only right and the safest choice. Whether it’s the foundation or interior walls and ceilings, the bricklayer’s work requires a stable footing. This is provided by a deep-treaded sole. In addition, penetration protection and a toe cap protect against injury during demolition and conversion work. For kneeling activities, a scuff cap is a great benefit; this prevents abrasion in the toe area. To ensure safety on ladders, a ladder grip is recommended. In short, Safety shoes for bricklayers have to endure a lot. It is therefore very important to use safety shoes that have all the safety features.
SELECTION OF PRODUCTS
ERGO-ACTIVE FIT CONCEPT
Besides the correct width, other factors contribute to achieving the right fit. In order to address typical problems regarding fit (too wide, too narrow, too short), we have developed the Ergo-Active 2.0 system. We distinguish between three different foot types:
- Type 1 (for larger feet),
- Type 2 (for average feet),
- Type 3 (for narrower feet).
MULTIPLE WIDTH FIT CONCEPT
The feet of craftsmen have to endure a lot – so their shoes have to fit perfectly. That is why we offer some of our models in three different widths:
- W (For the average width foot)
- XW (For the wider foot)
- XXW (For the very wide foot)
The comfortable multi-width system provides each foot with the individual space it requires. Since the toe cap has also “grown” in width, the necessary volume in the forefoot area is maintained.
LADIES FIT CONCEPT
LADIES HAVE A NARROWER FIT
Women’s feet are different to men’s: they are narrower and flatter than those of men with the same shoe size. For this reason, we have special women’s models within our range, which offer appropriate solutions to meet the requirements of female foot anatomy.
ANKLE TWIST PROTECTION
INJURY PREVENTION
More than half of all foot injuries are sprains, dislocations or injuries to the ligaments. BIOMEX PROTECTION© stabilises the ankle in its natural movement and protects it against these hazards.
RUBBER SOLES
Rubber outsoles are particularly robust: resistant to temperatures of up to 300°C for short periods, resistant to penetration by sharp-edged objects and resistant to petrol, oil, microbes and numerous chemicals. Special manufacturing processes make them resistant to abrasion. However, rubber is heavier than PU and TPU, and slightly less flexible in cold temperatures.
ROBUST AND HEAT-RESISTANT

GORE-TEX
Only shoes that are comfortable for the respective temperature and conditions are really practical. As soon as our feet become too warm, too cold or even wet, we begin to feel uncomfortable. This can affect our health and ability to concentrate. GORE-TEX shoes are permanently waterproof and highly breathable. They keep your feet dry and offer optimum climatic comfort – in all weathers, throughout the entire product life cycle.

BOA® FIT SYSTEM
The BOA® Fit System allows the safety shoes to be tightened and loosened quickly, safely, and comfortably – with just one hand! The lacing “stays put” all day long, thus ensuring a permanently precise fit. Other benefits include no loose laces hanging down and the fact that the BOA® Fit System is extremely durable – perfect for the harsh conditions of the construction industry.
