About EcoVadis
EcoVadis provides companies with holistic corporate responsibility ratings through a cloud-based platform. The EcoVadis rating covers a wide range of non-financial management systems, including the impact of the environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Each company is assessed by EcoVadis analysts on the basis of company-specific documentation on issues relevant to its size, location and industry. The assessment focuses on criteria from international CSR standards such as the Compact Principles, the conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard, the ISO 26000 standard and the CERES principles.
TOP AWARD FOR ELTEN IN THE ECOVADIS RATING
The EcoVadis rating is awarded at four different certification levels (bronze, silver, gold, platinum). The platinum medal is the highest award that can be achieved and is an important recognition of ELTEN’s commitment to sustainability. This puts us in the top 1% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis in the last 12 months! ELTEN is therefore one of two companies in the “footwear manufacturing” category to be honoured with the top medal. This shows that we are on the right track with our ELTEN-Loop programme and is simultaneously an incentive to continue our efforts.
