Flat feet, hallux valgus, heel spurs — these are some of the best-known causes of foot complaints. Not every foot abnormality necessarily results in pain. Problems usually only arise following intense or excessive strain, as can frequently happen in everyday working life. In addition to discomfort in the foot itself, a foot misalignment can be characterised by pain in the knee, hip or spine.

HOW DOES THE WHOLE THING WORK?

STEP 1
Get in touch with your ELTEN contact or business partner by email or telephone and book an orthopaedic consultation day.
STEP 2
State-of-the-art 3D full-foot scanners measure the feet of your company’s employees. Our orthopaedic team (shoemakers and orthopaedic experts) is on site to provide comprehensive advice.
STEP 3
The entire ELTEN product catalogue is integrated into the 3D scanner software, so it can directly recommend which safety shoe model in which size and width best fits the relevant foot.
STEP 4
The software also enables pre-selected shoe recommendations that are customised to your company’s own range and coordinated with your business partner.
STEP 5
The 3D scanner also recognises whether the foot requires support from a semi-orthopaedic Sensicare insole.
STEP 6
The specialist shoemaker and orthopaedic expert will assess on site whether further orthopaedic treatment is required in the form of shoe adjustments or orthopaedic insoles. The necessary safety and work shoes can be ordered via the sales partner.

Orthopaedic insoles help to compensate for misalignments if these are pathological or if the employee is already reporting complaints (pain). For minor abnormalities that are not causing pain, a preventive semi-orthopaedic insole is used.
