COMFORTABLE WITH HEIGHTS AND SURE-FOOTED
SCAFFOLDERS MOVE AROUND AT LOFTY HEIGHTS
Before any work is carried out on façades or structures, the scaffolders first get to work. They select suitable scaffolding components and assemble them. Suitable foot protection is particularly important here. Before setting up, the ground must be levelled – as this is often a major challenge on construction sites, the stability provided by a coarse-tread sole is indispensable. S3 safety footwear provides the necessary support. Thanks to the penetration protection and toe cap, the forefoot area is protected from falling scaffolding parts and debris that has been left lying around. They specialise not only in scaffolding on buildings; they are also used when special constructions such as shoring are required, as a substructure for bridge building, for example. Durable material such as cowhide is a good choice. Safety shoes for scaffolders equipped with a breathable textile lining ensures a pleasant foot climate – whether on the ground or at height.
SELECTION OF PRODUCTS
ERGO-ACTIVE FIT CONCEPT
Besides the correct width, other factors contribute to achieving the right fit. In order to address typical problems regarding fit (too wide, too narrow, too short), we have developed the Ergo-Active 2.0 system. We distinguish between three different foot types:
- Type 1 (for larger feet),
- Type 2 (for average feet),
- Type 3 (for narrower feet).
MULTIPLE WIDTH FIT CONCEPT
The feet of craftsmen have to endure a lot – so their shoes have to fit perfectly. That is why we offer some of our models in three different widths:
- W (For the average width foot)
- XW (For the wider foot)
- XXW (For the very wide foot)
The comfortable multi-width system provides each foot with the individual space it requires. Since the toe cap has also “grown” in width, the necessary volume in the forefoot area is maintained.
LADIES FIT CONCEPT
LADIES HAVE A NARROWER FIT
Women’s feet are different to men’s: they are narrower and flatter than those of men with the same shoe size. For this reason, we have special women’s models within our range, which offer appropriate solutions to meet the requirements of female foot anatomy.
ANTI-WEAR
PROTECTIVE SCUFF CAP
Whether assembling scaffolding on structures or storing and maintaining scaffolding components, the demanding work performed by scaffolders places high demands on the front sections of safety footwear. For this reason, a scuff cap is recommended to permanently protect the toe of the shoe against abrasion.
NO TIRED FEET
WELLMAXX
In scaffold construction in particular, employees are on their feet for several hours every day. They move around a lot on hard floors, stand for long periods of time, or work in a squatting position. For the feet, this means a heavy load. We prevent this problem with our WELLMAXX series! The innovative Infinergy® cushioning material in the sole core, from BASF, noticeably relieves the feet.
WIND AND WEATHER
GORE-TEX
Only shoes that are comfortable for the respective temperature and conditions are really practical. As soon as our feet become too warm, too cold or even wet, we begin to feel uncomfortable. This can affect our health and ability to concentrate. GORE-TEX shoes are permanently waterproof and highly breathable. They keep your feet dry and offer optimum climatic comfort – in all weathers, throughout the entire product life cycle.

ORTHOPAEDIC FOOT PROTECTION
CERTIFIED ACCORDING TO EN ISO 20345/20347 (DGUV 112-191)
Many people develop foot problems during the course of their lives. Often it is not necessary to have these conditions treated orthopaedically. If your feet still hurt, our semi-orthopaedic insoles can help. If you develop an orthopaedic condition, special orthopaedic insoles are essential. A large proportion of the ELTEN collection is certified for orthopaedic adjustments in accordance with EN ISO 20345/20347 (DGUV 112-191). The orthopaedic shoemaker / medical supply store can make orthopaedic changes, without the shoe losing its protective function.
WITH ONE TURN
BOA® FIT SYSTEM
The BOA® Fit System allows the safety shoes to be tightened and loosened quickly, safely, and comfortably – with just one hand! The lacing “stays put” all day long, thus ensuring a permanently precise fit. Other benefits include no loose laces hanging down and the fact that the BOA® Fit System is extremely durable – perfect for the harsh conditions of the construction industry.
