Comfort and protection
For safety class S1, suede leather is used for the upper material, whilst safety class S1PS features a combination of suede and bovine leather. The two safety classes on offer suggest that the “Otto” really comes into its own in professions where working environments are dry. These include, for example, warehousing and logistics, driving and transport professions, the retail sector, light assembly work, workshops, industrial areas without exposure to moisture, as well as indoor trades. In all these settings, it impresses with its mix of retro styling, comfort and protection – proving that safety footwear can be not only functional but genuinely stylish too. Available in sizes 36 to 47, for women and men.
Although “Otto” looks like a casual trainer from decades gone by, its classic design incorporates modern safety features. A steel toe cap protects the toes from falling objects, while the textile penetration protection guards against hazards from below, depending on the safety class. In addition, the ESD features allow the shoes to be worn even in sensitive areas by safely dissipating electrostatic charge away from the body through the sole of the shoe.
Honey-coloured rubber sole
Its caramel‑coloured rubber sole gives the “Otto” its distinctive look, provides a secure grip and is highly resistant to wear and tear. At the same time, the shallow tread ensures that the shoe feels light and flexible when worn – almost like a classic casual shoe. And to make sure that only the look, but definitely not the wearing experience, is retro, the flat outsole even incorporates cushioning elements: EVA material in the heel and Supercritical foam in the forefoot.
