Anyone who walks for many hours on hard or frequently changing surfaces needs comfortable and suitable footwear. That’s where our new XXSG’s come into play: the layer of Infinergy® from BASF in the sole core provides optimal cushioning and relieves strain on tendons and joints. Additional plus: The coarse tread ensures a reliable grip when walking and standing in all weather conditions. Resistant and water-repellent upper materials protect against moisture, lime and splashing cement. STEEL VS. SYNTHETIC TOE CAP
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?
Steel caps are stronger than caps made of other materials and are unbreakable – even under high loads. They have a slimmer appearance than synthetic caps, for example. synthetic toe caps are about one third lighter than steel caps and thus reduce the overall weight. They are particularly suitable for areas in which metal is not allowed. ELTEN always uses glass fibre for its metal-free caps.

PROTECTED AGAINST ABRASION
PU SCUFF CAP
The toes of the safety shoes are often affected by premature wear under the rough working conditions on the construction site. During activities that are performed while kneeling or squatting in particular, the material in this area suffers a great deal. All XXSG models have a PU scuff cap, which is designed to protect against just such wear.
A NOTE ABOUT SOCKS
The right safety footwear for the construction industry always needs the right socks! These should definitely fit well and fit tightly on the foot without constricting.

PENETRATION PROTECTION
In protection class S3, we offer models with both a metal-free and a steel midsole. Due to the high demands on penetration protection in the construction industry, we recommend the use of footwear with the more robust steel variant as opposed to the slightly more flexible metal-free midsole.
