Robust and antistatic

SAFETY FOOTWEAR FOR THE CHEMICAL AND PETROCHEMICAL INDUSTRY.

Anyone who works in the chemical and petrochemical industry spends many hours a day walking on hard floors. Their feet are exposed to various hazards. These include falling objects as well as contamination from chemicals. However, the main danger to feet here is the so-called STF accidents, caused by slipping, tripping or falling. As a rule, ESD-compatible safety shoes with the protection classes S3, S3S and S3L are mandatory. However, there are other features that ensure that the shoes are not only safe but also comfortable.

SELCTION OF PRODUCTS

WITH ONE TURN

BOA® FIT SYSTEM

The BOA® Fit System allows the safety shoes to be tightened and loosened quickly, safely, and comfortably – with just one hand! The lacing “stays put” all day long, thus ensuring a permanently precise fit. Other benefits include no loose laces hanging down and the fact that the BOA® Fit System is extremely durable – perfect for the harsh conditions of the construction industry.

WATER? NO PROBLEM

GORE-TEX

A lot of water is involved when cleaning the systems and filters. Your feet nevertheless need to stay dry in your safety shoes. GORE-TEX shoes are permanently waterproof and highly breathable. As soon as our feet get too warm, too cold or even wet, we start to feel uncomfortable. This can have an impact on our health and ability to concentrate. Safety shoes with GORE-TEX keep your feet dry and offer optimal climate comfort – regardless of the weather, for the entire lifespan of the product.

WATERPROOF
& BREATHABLE

LEATHER UPPER

Safety shoes for the chemical and petrochemical industry must be made of leather. The material is characterised by its good breathability, durability, dimensional stability and flexibility. It is also easy to clean in the event of contamination, unlike textile surfaces where substances can stick. We use high-quality leather and, as a member of the Leather Working Group, we are committed to supporting responsible leather production around the world.

NO TIRED FEET

WELLMAXX

Employees in the chemical and petrochemical industry spend many hours a day on their feet. They move around a lot on hard tiled and concrete surfaces. This puts a lot of strain on their feet. We prevent this problem with our WELLMAXX series! The innovative cushioning material Infinergy® from BASF in the sole core noticeably reduces the strain on the feet and protects the joints.

ANKLE TWIST PROTECTION

INJURY PREVENTION

More than half of all foot injuries are sprains, dislocations or injuries to the ligaments. BIOMEX PROTECTION© stabilises the ankle in its natural movement and protects it against these hazards.

RUBBER SOLES

Rubber outsoles are particularly robust: resistant to temperatures of up to 300 °C for short periods, resistant to penetration by sharp-edged objects and resistant to petrol, oil, microbes and numerous chemicals. Special manufacturing processes make them abrasion resistant. However, rubber is heavier than PU and TPU and slightly less flexible in cold temperatures.

ROBUST AND HEAT-RESISTANT

RISK OF EXPLOSION? ESD!

The so-called Ex areas with an increased risk of explosion are omnipresent in chemical and petrochemical plants. The static charge of the human body must be dissipated in a controlled manner. ESD-compatible safety shoes make this possible.
According to DIN EN ISO 20345:2022, the resistance between the person and the floor must not exceed 108 Ω (100 MΩ).

ERGO-ACTIVE FIT CONCEPT

Besides the correct width, other factors contribute to achieving the right fit. In order to address typical problems regarding fit (too wide, too narrow, too short), we have developed the Ergo-Active 2.0 system. We distinguish between three different foot types:

  • Type 1 (for larger feet),
  • Type 2 (for average feet),
  • Type 3 (for narrower feet).

MULTIPLE WIDTH FIT CONCEPT

The feet of employees in the chemical and petrochemical industry have to cope with a lot – so the shoes should fit perfectly. That’s why we offer a number of models in three different widths:

  • W (For the average width foot)
  • XW (For the wider foot)
  • XXW (For the very wide foot)

The comfortable multi-width system provides each foot with the individual space it requires. Since the toe cap has also “grown” in width, the necessary volume in the forefoot area is maintained.

LADIES FIT CONCEPT

LADIES HAVE A NARROWER FIT

Women’s feet are different to men’s: they are narrower and flatter than those of men with the same shoe size. For this reason, we have special women’s models within our range, which offer appropriate solutions to meet the requirements of female foot anatomy.
